I have always had a great passion for working with my hands. When I am not working on restoring teeth, I am often working on projects to restore and improve my home and historic barn. My other interests include tailgating for college football games and outdoor activities including fishing, sailing and golfing.

My wife and I also have a great interest in travel. Through her work as a graduate student and now a professor at MSU, we were able to visit wonderful places including Fiji, Hawaii, Solomon Islands, and Tahiti. We have a shared love of waterfalls and take every chance we can get to seek them out.

Our family has grown to five with our daughter, Avery, son, Troy and our chocolate lab. Dr. Peters is a member of the Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association, Central District Dental Society, where he served six years on the Peer Review Board.

Dr. Kelly Johnson is a welcome addition to Mason Family Dentistry, serving both adult and pediatric patients. As a mother of five, her gentle touch and compassionate attitude help establish excellent rapport with our pediatric patients. She attended Michigan State University, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. Dr. Johnson went on to attend the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association and the Central District Dental Association.

Away from the office, Dr. Johnson is devoted to her family and enjoys spending time watching her sons play baseball and watching her girls dance. And when she is not chasing around the family dog, she enjoys reading a good book too.

Torie has been with our office since 2011. She lives in Eaton Rapids with her husband Justin, two daughters Lillyana, Felicity, and her newest little one, Elloise. They have many pets including dogs, ferrets and chickens! When they aren't busy with sports, they enjoy spending their free time outdoors and up North. 

Laura has been a part of Mason Family Dentistry since 2007. She lives in Mason with her husband, Steve, who is an Edward Jones Financial Advisor in the same office building! Their daughter Alix lives in Royal Oak and works as an Orthopedic Sales Representative. They all enjoy traveling, attending college sporting events and adventures with family and friends. She also enjoys playing golf and bike riding.  

Janean has been with Mason Family Dentistry since 2018. She and her husband Caleb have two children, Lilah and Rhett. 

Joanie graduated from U of M in 1986 with a degree in Dental Hygiene she raised her family in Mason and still lives here. She has four daughters. Alexis who is married to Cody and they live in South Carolina. Nikki lives and works in Ferndale, MI. Both Alexis and Nikki are grads of GVSU. Natalie attends LCC and works at Darbs in Mason. Lizzie is a stylist at Reds Salon in Leslie. Joanie loves spending time up north, gardening, biking and reading.

Becky joined Mason Family Dentistry in August of 2020. She grew up in Barryton, a small town in central Michigan, now resides in Dansville. Becky is a 2012 graduate of Lansing Community College where she developed a passion for patient centered care. It is her personal mission to ensure each patient’s voice is heard and their issues, no matter how small or great, are treated compassionately and effectively. Outside of the dental office, Becky enjoys devoting her time to her husband and four precious children. If they’re not on field, diamond, or in a gymnasium you can find them enjoying our magnificent state of Michigan together!

Kirstie grew up in Mason and now lives in Eaton Rapids with her husband Charles, daughter Athena, son Reid, step daughter Serena and step son Brandon. They have two dogs Parker and Emsley. In her free time she enjoys watching her kids play soccer and going on adventures with her family.

Sophie grew up in Brooklynn, MI and moved to Eaton Rapids a couple of years ago. She graduated hygiene school in 2019. Sophie is a member of the Crossfit community and loves it! She and her fiancé enjoy spending their free time outdoors.

Samantha moved to Michigan in 2017 from Colorado, where she grew up. She and her husband Brandon got married in 2021 and had their first baby, Hunter, in 2022. They have two dogs Roxie and Remington. She enjoys reading, photography and spending time with family.

Maggie joined the Mason Family Dentistry team in 2022 as a dental assistant. She and her husband Craig have one daughter, Chloe. In her free time, Maggie enjoys going back home to the Chicago area to visit family.
